Business-To-Consumer (B2C) License

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is the sole licensor of the Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Malta gaming license in Malta. This license type is given to gaming operators, casinos, online gambling platforms, and service providers that allow players and bettors to participate.

In addition, gaming operators who hold a B2C Malta gaming license are the primary means of interaction with the bettor, as all prizes and bets made are between the company and the user.

A B2C Malta gaming license is only issued when the following constitutes a gaming service:

  • The gaming operator offers, provides, or operates a gaming service.
  • The platform is hosted in premises accessible to the public, or the gaming device and/or gaming system is fully operational and available for use.

The following are the different categories of B2C licenses offered by the MGA. These are required for prospecting gaming operators to apply for in order to legally operate their respective gaming services and operations to the public.
